Located on Cape Verde’s Sao Vincente island, Cesaria Resort is a mixed-use development with a projected final population of 40,000. While Account Manager at Corporate Edge in London, we were asked to create a developmental plan that leveraged local singer Cesaria Evora’s international renown and aligned itself with both Sao Vincente’s tourism strategy and that of the Cape Verdian government. Having analyzed the site with project architects Woods Bagot, led by Rob Steul, we performed a SWOT analysis of the region’s existing tourism product, including both current and planned developments, before leading a series of visioning and naming workshops. We then created a visual identity and brand architecture system, as well as an international launch communications plan.
